Healthy Families of Berkshire County was presented the Public Relations Award by the Children’s Trust at its annual Celebration Day in Boston. This award is given annually to a program that assists the Children’s Trust in getting the message of family support out to the public and demonstrates creativity, collaboration and relationship-building.
The Children’s Trust recently partnered with Pondville Correctional Center in Norfolk to offer the 13-week Nurturing Fathers Program. Nine fathers have successfully completed the program’s first cohort, helping them build new parenting skills and strengthen bonds with their children.
Last fall, the Children’s Trust and the MA Department of Mental Health joined forces to launch an impactful training initiative to enhance the capacity of infant and early childhood providers to support families across Massachusetts.
