May the Nurturing Force be with you
Children’s Trust created Star Wars-Inspired Father’s Day videos to share the loving characteristics of dads
Not long ago, in a galaxy not so far away, Children’s Trust created a Father’s Day video tribute – inspired by the iconic Star Wars films – that focused on the nurturing, loving qualities in all dads. The message: the 21st century holds a new reality of fatherhood, where pervasive stereotypes about dads being bumbling, incompetent, and emotionally unavailable knuckleheads area relic of the past. Today’s dads are nurturing, loving, devoted, and involved. The dark side of the force is a formidable opponent, but with concerted effort and deep-rooted hope, the love and light in each of us can shine through.
The videos themselves showed playful visuals of LEGO Storm Trooper dads and children interacting with each other in a variety of scenes, ranging from walks on the beach to painting and sledding. Each video was accompanied by uplifting music that drove home the emotional connections.
The videos resonated strongly with the Children’s Trust audience, resulting in the following views on YouTube as of April 2026.
- Episode I: Nearly 11 million
- Episode II: 272,000
- Episode II: 86,000
