share:

On Saturday, June 12, dozens of guests came together to honor and recognize fathers across Massachusetts during our annual Celebrating Fatherhood virtual event. Nearly $100,000 was raised as we celebrated the dedication, commitment, and importance of dads in their children's lives.

Dr. Craig Andrade moderated a panel of fatherhood experts who spoke about the significance actively involved dads have in their children's lives, featuring panelists Mike Caban, Family Support Worker at People Incorporated, Steven Pascal, Director of Home Visiting at the Children's Trust, and Tyler Stanton, Nurturing Fathers Facilitator at the Hampshire County Jail and House of Correction.

During the event program, guests also heard powerful stories from fathers whose lives have been changed by Children's Trust programs.

We were also thrilled to honor Michael F. Collins, MD, Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, with the Governor Paul Cellucci Fatherhood Award.

Generous sponsors of the event included Bay State Health, Beghou Consulting, Richard Campbell, the Chisholm Family, College of the Holy Cross, Drew Company, ML Strategies, Tufts Health Plan/Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Brodeur Partners,Cape Cod Healthcare, Curry College, Dempsey, Lucey & Associates, the DuFour Family, Homewood Suites by Hilton/First Bristol Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, MassBio, UMass Medical School Foundation, Walter De Gruyer, Inc., and the Winchenbaugh Family.

This annual event helps to support our Fatherhood Initiative.

When fathers are actively involved in their children’s lives, the whole family thrives.
