Family Centers Provide Access to Essential Items

share:

Navigating parenthood at any stage is challenging, but the last two years have been especially hard. Across the globe, the pandemic has led to isolation, job losses, and increased parental stress.

Despite near constant change, our six Family Centers have never wavered in supporting moms, dads, and caregivers in their communities. From virtual playgroups and outdoor programming to connecting families with basic needs – Family Centers continue to be an invaluable resource for many Massachusetts families.

“The programs through the Family Center were an actual lifeline for me as a parent and as a human being. It’s a wonderful group of people who are there as a support network. I don’t think any parent can know what resources they will need, and the Family Center provides that support in an open and unconditional way.”- Children’s Trust Program Participant

Providing moms and dads with opportunities for connection and access to essential items can help reduce parental stress, a risk factor for child abuse and neglect.

Snapshots of Support

While every Family Center is unique, they all have a common goal of supporting families. Each Center is welcoming, accessible, and reflective of the values and beliefs of all families. Our six Family Centers serve more than12,000 parents, caregivers, and children in over 30 communities.
