We are proud to announce that the Children’s Trust has been designated as the official Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA) chapter for Massachusetts. As the state’s leading organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect, this designation strengthens our efforts by allowing us to collaborate with a national network to ensure all children grow up in thriving families and communities.
Prevent Child Abuse America is the nation’s oldest and largest organization committed to preventing child abuse and neglect before it happens. As the Massachusetts chapter, we join a powerful national network working toward a shared goal: a future where every child has the safe, healthy childhood they deserve. We will continue to develop programs and trainings to support children and families, as well as advocate for public policies that emphasize the Protective Factors that support the well-being of children and families.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Children's Trust as the Massachusetts Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America,” said Anita Odom, National Director of State Chapters at Prevent Child Abuse America.
“The Children's Trust has long been a leader in prevention work throughout the state, and their partnership will strengthen our chapter network as we collectively work toward our North Star of a world where all children and families are living a purposeful and happy life with hope for the future.”
At the Children’s Trust, we know that strong families are the foundation of strong communities. This partnership enhances our work with organizations across the state to promote positive parenting, economic stability, and community connections — all factors that reduce the risk of abuse and neglect.
Preventing child abuse and neglect is a collective responsibility.
By expanding our partnerships across the nation, we are unifying efforts to raise awareness, advocate for policies that support families and the workforce, and invest in programs that strengthen families. This partnership with PCAA marks the beginning of a new chapter of child abuse and neglect prevention in Massachusetts.
