The Children’s Trust is proud to be co-chairing, along with the state Office of the Child Advocate, the Massachusetts Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Task Force, authorized by the Massachusetts Legislature (SECTION 34. Chapter 431 of the acts of 2014). The purpose of the task force includes developing guidelines and tools for the development of sexual abuse prevention and intervention plans by organizations serving children and youth.
This multi-agency collaboration is utilizing the collective experience of both public and private youth-serving agencies, offices, and organizations from across the state.
Task force committees include:
- code of conduct
- responding and reporting
- safe physical environments and technology
- screening and hiring
- training
