Expanding Leadership to Guide New Strategic Plan Focused on Redefining How Massachusetts Supports Families

Governor Healey has appointed three new members to the Children’s Trust Board of Directors:

  • Joseph Corazzini, Vice President of Government and Community Affairs at Clark University;
  • Rachel Deleveaux, Ed.D., Founder of Transformative Culture Solutions and Assistant Vice President for Strategy and Engagement at Simmons University; and
  • Audrey C. Mark, Principal at the Law Office of Audrey C. Mark, LLC.

As the Children’s Trust enters the second year of its new strategic plan focused on addressing the root causes of child abuse and neglect, Corazzini, Deleveaux, and Mark will provide valuable expertise and leadership to help guide this work.

“Preventing child abuse and neglect is complex and requires innovative thinking from leaders who bring diverse perspectives and experiences,” said Jennifer Valenzuela, Executive Director of the Children’s Trust. “Audrey, Joseph, and Rachel bring deep experience in law, education, social impact, and community development. Their guidance will help advance our work to strengthen the systems that support families so that all families in Massachusetts can thrive.”

Corazzini brings decades of leadership in education, community development, and equity-focused initiatives. A Worcester resident, he has served in senior roles in public schools and nonprofit organizations and currently leads Clark University’s government and community affairs.

 “The Children’s Trust plays an integral role in bringing together key leaders across family-serving agencies to enhance practices and strategies aimed at improving systems and outcomes for children across the Commonwealth,” said Corazzini. “My goal is to support the advancement of their work to drive systems change in an effort to prevent child abuse and neglect. Every child deserves the opportunity to wake up each day feeling safe, supported and ready to accomplish their dreams. I’m working to do my part to make that a reality.”

She also lends her expertise to boards focused on inclusion, belonging, and the arts.

“I am honored to join the Children’s Trust Board and stand alongside dedicated leaders working to support families. Preventing child abuse and neglect is not just a mission — it is a moral imperative, and I am committed to using my experience and voice to help ensure every child has the opportunity to grow up safe, supported, and thriving,” said Deleveaux

Mark is an experienced attorney specializing in child abuse cases, who served previously as the Chief of the Child Protection Unit at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and now works in private practice representing survivors of abuse. This experience provides her with a unique perspective on the public-private nature of the Children’s Trust.

 “After many years of prosecuting crimes committed against children and seeing the devastating impact of abuse on child victims, I am excited to now join an organization that works to prevent its occurrence,” said Mark.

As a public-private organization, the Children’s Trust Board of Directors is composed of public officials and community representatives who guide the organization in its mission. The addition of Mark, Corazzini, and Deleveaux strengthens the Children’s Trust’s ability to shape programs, policy, and partnerships that prevent child abuse and neglect.

Corazzini holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Worcester State University.

Deleveaux holds a Doctor of Education from Northeastern University, a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Suffolk University, and a Bachelor’s in Afro-American History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
