Every April, we recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to elevate the role that individuals, organizations, and communities play in supporting children and families. Prevention isn’t just a moment, it’s a movement grounded in building strong, connected communities and systems where children and families have what they need to thrive.

At its core, prevention is about taking action before challenges arise. It’s about ensuring parents, caregivers, and everyone who works with families have access to support, training, and resources that promote safe, stable, and nurturing environments for all children and families.

You can help make prevention possible. Whether you work directly with children and families, are a community partner, educator, donor, or simply care about the wellbeing of children this month,  below are several ways you can get involved in moving our mission forward this month and beyond.

Each April, the Children’s Trust gathers at the Massachusetts State House to recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month. Join us to learn how we’re addressing the root causes of child abuse and neglect and how your support can help families thrive.

Show your support during National Home Visiting Week by thanking a home visitor in your community. Small acts of recognition can go a long way in uplifting those who support families every day.
