The Children’s Trust Annual Report 2025

Every child deserves a safe, supported, and thriving childhood — and thanks to you, that vision is becoming a reality.  

Throughout our fiscal year 2025, running from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, we’ve worked to advance initiatives that help strengthen families and reshape the systems that will support them for years to come. With the number of confirmed child abuse and neglect cases going down by 7.5% from the previous year, we continue to strive towards building a Massachusetts where all families can thrive. 

This year, we advanced our five-year strategic plan focused on transforming the systems that shape family wellbeing. With priorities that include strengthening family support networks, preventing child sexual abuse, expanding training opportunities, increasing father engagement, and providing early support before crisis, we are redefining how Massachusetts supports families. 

As we look toward the future, the Children’s Trust Executive Director, Jennifer Valenzuela, writes,

“It isn’t enough to keep moving forward—we must accelerate our progress for kids today and generations to come.”
