University Without Walls interviews Suzin Bartley

UMass Amherst University Without Walls recently interviewed Suzin Bartley, the Children's Trust Executive Director, a 1980 graduate about her work at the Children’s Trust and her trajectory. Discussing her work at the Children’s Trust and the path that led her there, the interview provides insight into the pursuit of a meaningful career.

Asked to give advice to other students, Bartley said:

Do something you have passion for. I think having passion for your work is critical – what has kept me at Children’s Trust is that I am passionate and committed to our mission of preventing child abuse.

She also commented on her future plans:

I am working on a Prevention Initiative that would focus a continuum of prevention tactics within a community to see what the impact is through evaluation- starting with newborn home visiting and then connecting families with a Family Center or hub.
