social and emotional learning network launched

share:

Last week the Children’s Trust kicked off SEL Connects – a networking group focused on social and emotional learning. The network’s mission is to bring together family support workers, early educators, and other professionals who work with families of young children to peer share, network, and learn together about social and emotional competence and ways to support families around healthy early development.

In attendance were over 40 professionals from across the state interested in learning more about early social and emotional development looking to connect with other professionals around this topic.

Dr. Jayne Singer of Boston Children’s Hospital and the Brazelton Institute spoke about early social and emotional development and provided insight that attendees could bring back to their work with children and families. Attendees also had the opportunity to share with others about their favorite resources and ask questions that they had about working with families around this topic.

The network plans to meet again in June to continue its exploration of supporting families around early social and emotional development. Check out the flyer for more information about the network and to get connected!
