The Children’s Trust announced today that Bain Capital Community Partnership has signed on as a Platinum Sponsor with a $25,000 donation to its “An Evening of Promise” gala to benefit families.

“An Evening of Promise” is the Children’s Trust’s largest annual fundraiser and celebration of its efforts to strengthen families and improve the lives of children across the Commonwealth. The gala will be held October 25 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and will feature silent and live auctions, dining, and dancing.

Bain Capital Community Partnership joins two other Platinum Sponsors: Adage Capital Management; and Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.

“We are grateful for our sponsors’ support as it provides resources that will allow the Children’s Trust to expand its work to strengthen families across Massachusetts. Strong families raise thriving children, and that benefits the Commonwealth as a whole,” said James E. Rooney, chair of the Children’s Trust Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority.

At the event, the Children’s Trust will honor Senator William “Mo” Cowan of ML Strategies and Mintz Levin for his work in the public and private sectors on several causes that benefit children and families. These include his service in the Administration of Governor Deval L. Patrick, his interim service in the United States Senate, and his service on numerous non-profit boards focused on community and family including the Greater Boston YMCA, the Discovering Justice Foundation, Project STEP and The Roxbury Preparatory Charter School.

Senator Cowan is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ML Strategies, a government relations and business advisory group with offices in Boston and Washington, D.C., and Of Counsel to its law firm affiliate, Mintz Levin.
